One of the experiences that moved us deeply throughout our journey was our encounter with the PiuMani Group at Precampo RIVE at Meraki. PiuMani is a group and network, that was born inside the Italian Ecovillage Network 8 years ago. PiuMani is an Italian wordplay, that refers to being more human - and the group holds the vision of the Piumanity - a more human humanity.
The PiuMani group is now hosting their own gatherings 4 times a year, they facilitate workshops in many different ecovillages and communities around Italy and they are currently moving with the PiuMani caravan on the search for a physical base for PiuMani.
One of the most essential elements of the PiuMani gatherings and activities is to provide people with the experience of being part of a tribe. An experience, that can be very rare, in cultures and stories of seperation and individuality.
At Meraki, we were blessed to encounter some of the sparkling souls - and their practices - from the PiuMani group. An experience that truly left an imprint on us both.
And why were we so touched by this encounter? We were moved by how beautifully and easefully the Piumani Group practiced being culture-bringers! We experienced the magic that is possible, when a group of people fiercely and courageously embodies a way of being in the world that invites playfulness, depth, connection, heartfulness, ease, belonging, excitement, creativity and joy! They brought and practiced what they named as ‘Deepness through lightness’ , and wove the (temporary) community together in this profound manner.
Each day of the camp, a few from the PiuMani Group facilitated teambuilding workshops. Through the tools of theatre, empathic communication, the circle way practices, non-verbal communication, authentic relating, conscious touch/contact, we were each day invited on a deeply connective adventure, that left us uplifted, touched and deepened into the experience of community. Of being part of a tribe. Of belonging!
And the PiuMani presence was not only felt during the workshops, but was woven into so many different parts of the day. In the way they set the tone for the day by inviting all to dance energetically and playfully as the first thing in the morning, in sharing their own created (silly) songs and choreographies before having meetings, in gathering around song and dance before eating - and generally in bringing an energy of laughter, ease, respectful, heartful contact and connection.
We had a lovely talk with some of the glorious beings from the PiuMani Group, who told us that in their point of view, it is all about the energy you bring. It is not about the tools. It is about the embodiment.
And this is exactly, what moved - and excited - us to experience! We have filled our notebooks with sparkling ideas and inspirations from the PiuMani group, that we aim to bring into our practices as facilitators in the future. We are very excited to join the weaving of the PiuMan way, in our own colour and nuance - in the vision of more belonging, more beauty, more truthful expression, more community, more colours, more connection in the world.
The Piumani Vision.
